CTBT Studio, the New York based brand with a focus on sustainable and gender-inclusive streetwear, made its New York Fashion Week (NYFW) debut with Asian NYFW at Saint Mary Grand, located at 440 Grand Street, New York, NY. The head designer and founder of CTBT Studio, Sieun Lee, is a Korean-born Brooklyn based multidisciplinary artist and designer. Upon graduating Parsons School of Design, she is delivering her clean, muted, yet young designs at CTBT Studio that embodies environmental message through marriage of graphics, materials, and techniques.
Recognized by FSF Funds in 2019 and 2020, Lee has gone to expand her vision on sustainable fashion through Chashama Storefront Startup and FSF Accelerator Grant Finalist, among others.


The SS24 collection, made of fully sustainable fabrics, was inspired by an organic cotton farm in India; hence, exhibiting its farm-inspired earthy colour scheme with key colours of soft browns, muted blues, greens, and shades of oranges. The collection features CTBT Studio’s own knits and patchworks, and jackets made out of denim and suede fabric that mixes the workwear vibe to iconic streetwear garments. Various pieces from the collection also showcase a flower symbol, inspired and simplified from an organic cotton bud flower.














Since CTBT Studio’s beginnings, its pieces are made completely out of deadstock fabric sourced from FABSCRAP in Brooklyn, New York, and GOTS-certified organic cotton fabric. The brand creates sustainable and genderless streetwear that are carefully designed to fit all genders. CTBT Studio and Sieun Lee have also been recognized by State Senator Brian Kavanagh for the contribution to Asian NYFW, as Asian NYFW aims to showcase and celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander creatives, designers, and stories as well as the diversity of the AAPI experience and community through fashion.











CTBT Studio focuses on nature-inspired ready to wear and custom made designs that engage the younger generation with sustainability efforts. The designs are colourful yet subtle, and young yet wearable to people of any gender and age. Following the runway presentation, SS24 collection will be dropped on both the brand’s official website and at its regular weekend pop-up at 70 N 7th St, Brooklyn New York.
